MODERNLAND, as the Digital Assets collaboration partner of The 1st Annual METAVERSE Art @ VENICE, is empowering Metaverse Art with interdisciplinary research on “MEDIA+ART+TECH” and providing a comprehensive digital operation services for Chinese crypto artists in the Metaverse Art. At the same time, A joint exhibition created by MODERNLAND’s Media Art team <LAB3 Transmedia MATRIX: META MAGAZINE & META ART>, which is MODERNLAND’s the first overseas exhibition and the debut will be at CAPANNONE 106 – L. In addition to the strong presentation in the main exhibition area with over 1,000 square feet in Venice, MODERNLAND will launch a “Digital Twin” world parallel exhibition and become an official partner with two of the most influential metaverse platforms in the world – Decentraland and Cryptovoxels. An in-depth cooperation with China local enterprises and brands are expected, extraordinary virtual plus reality experiences from overseas to domestic will be launched very soon.
Based on the third-generation Internet concept, MODERNLAND:LAB3 launched the “LAB3 META ART PROJECT”, in which practitioners from different backgrounds, including cross-media, cross-discipline, cross-media and cross-culture, participate together. It is an open call to the public, breaking the boundaries of traditional curatorial exhibitions and curators, allowing everyone to become an art initiator in the Metaverse era, ultimately hoping to form a decentralised, organic, bottom-up sustainable meta-cultural social ecology.
The project is supported academically by authoritative institutions including Art Tech Innozone, Tsinghua University, Tsinghua · China Art Now Digital Intangible Cultural Heritage International Innovation Workshop, Culture and Social Innovation Design Center, School of Innovation Design Guangzhou Academy of Arts, The New Center of Contemporary Jewellery and Fashion Culture, College of Design & Innovation Tongji University, International Design Research Center of Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of NPU, Taicang, and BIFT – XR-Virtual Reality Lab, School of Fashion Accessory Art and Engineering, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. META FORUM will also bring pioneering conversations to the domestic crypto art scene, with guests including Cao Yin, Gu Zhenqing, Fei Jun, Crypto ZR and many other art greats. The META ART event section brings a new curatorial concept “Everyone is a curategist” in collaboration with China Art Now，RGRT, NERLI STORE and GNP ART, allowing everyone to participate in interactive experiences through events. The META DIGITAL COLLECTION section will also open the portal of crypto art portal and become an important part of the on-chain ecology.
In 2022, MODERNLAND fully upgrades to a Web 3.0 company, positioning itself as Digital Media & Digital Asset Capital Management and launching a metaverse layout. “MM.B Sky Club”, a Web3.0 hipster community for sharing culture, “MODERNLAND:WORLD”, a hipster universe for the Web3.0 generation, and “MODERNLAND Cross-media Laboratory”, a sustainable cultural ecology of Web3.0. In the future, MODERNLAND will also continue to open up its ecological library to provide creative content, hip and cool communities, distribution platforms, marketing services, technology building and a comprehensive operational service meta-system for the compliance market. The trans-media experiment of “MEDIA+TECH+ART” is taken as the new operation paradigm of Metaverse in the early stage, and the vision of the future business metaverse with offline reality park and online virtual world as the urban digital twin is launched to create a better future for the new generation of Chinese.
